Job summary

Sound Physicians seeks an advanced practice hospitalist for Piedmont Macon Northside in Macon, Georgia. The role involves 12‑hour day shifts, rounding with a day APP, and collaboration with a tele‑intensivist to manage a broad patient population.

You will work in a small community hospital setting with EPIC and Dragon dictation, access to an informatics platform, and a culture that values teamwork and professional growth. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified FM or IM as per ABMS.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Comfortable running codes and rapid with open ICU with a tele‑intensivist.

Responsibilities

• See a wide variety of diseases while coordinating with a tele‑intensivist.
• Work with the tele‑intensivist running codes; no procedure responsibility.
• Utilize EPIC with Dragon for dictation and access to the internal informatics platform.

Local Team Collaboration

• Join our close‑knit team of 2 physicians and 4 APPs at Piedmont Macon Northside.
• Work alongside one APP hospitalist during the day, rounding on an average of 18 patients/day.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified FM or IM as per ABMS.
• Comfortable running codes and rapid with open ICU with a tele‑intensivist.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

• 12‑hour day shifts with a day rounding APP.

Key Responsibilities

• See a wide variety of diseases while still having specialists available in a small community‑based hospital.
• Work in coordination with a tele‑intensivist running codes and rapid but not responsible for doing procedures.
• Utilize EPIC with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication.
