Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Swing Hospitalist Physician Assistant to join our Covington team in a full-time role. The swing shift runs from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a 7-on/7-off schedule, in a small community hospital setting with minimal onsite specialty coverage.

The position offers a base salary of 165K with a comprehensive benefits package and tail coverage, and requires the PA to be board-certified, WA-licensed or eligible, and authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician assistant with WA licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred in hospitalist/acute care.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Handle admissions and cross-coverage in a small community hospital.
• No ICU or codes; hospitalists respond to rapids.
• Maintain a high level of autonomy in clinical decisions.

We are hiring for a Swing Hospitalist. A swing hospitalist requires working exclusively on swing shifts (10 a.m.- 10 p.m.). Candidates must be comfortable with the swing schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during swing hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of 5 physicians, 2 advanced practitioners, and a Medical Director
• Partner with our other MultiCare partner hospitals for transfers of care & specialty coverage

Qualifications:

• Board-certified, experienced physician assistant; minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
• Active PA license or eligible to become licensed in WA
• Authorized to work in the United States

Scheduling:

• Full-time position follows a 7-day on, 7-day off rotation
• Shifts for the swing position are scheduled from 10:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a small community hospital setting with minimal onsite specialty coverage
• Swing APPs are responsible for admissions and cross-cover; there may be occasional rounding as well
• High level of autonomy
• No ICU, no codes; hospitalists do respond to rapids
