Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Covington swing hospitalist team. The role supports admissions and cross-coverage with a high degree of autonomy in a small community hospital setting.

The schedule runs 7 days on, 7 days off, with swing hours from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Applicants must be board-certified NP with at least 1 year of hospitalist experience and an active WA license or eligibility to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Board-certified nurse practitioner with minimum 1 year hospitalist experience.
• AGACNP preferred; FNPs will be considered only with extensive hospitalist background.
• Active NP license or eligible to obtain WA licensure.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Swing schedule requires 10:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. shifts.

Responsibilities

• Admissions and cross-coverage in a small community hospital setting.
• Occasional rounding; high level of autonomy with no ICU or codes.
• Respond to rapids as needed; no ICU duties.

We are hiring for a Swing Hospitalist. A swing hospitalist requires working exclusively on swing shifts (10 a.m.- 10 p.m.). Candidates must be comfortable with the swing schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during swing hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of 5 physicians, 2 advanced practitioners, and a Medical Director
• Partner with our other MultiCare partner hospitals for transfers of care & specialty coverage

Qualifications:

• Board-certified, experienced nurse practitioner; minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
• AGACNP preferred; FNPs will only be considered with extensive hospitalist experience
• Active NP license or eligible to become licensed in WA
• Authorized to work in the United States

Scheduling:

• Full-time position follows a 7-day on, 7-day off rotation
• Shifts for the swing position are scheduled from 10:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a small community hospital setting with minimal onsite specialty coverage
• Swing APPs are responsible for admissions and cross-cover; there may be occasional rounding as well
• High level of autonomy
• No ICU, no codes; hospitalists do respond to rapids
