Job summary

Sound Physicians seeks a Hospital Medicine Physician for McLaren Port Huron Hospital in Port Huron, Michigan. Join a cohesive team with a 7-on/7-off rotation (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and opportunities to collaborate with residents and hospital leadership.

We support both H1 and J1 visa candidates, with in-house visa specialists and licensing/credentialing experts. Competitive benefits and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
• New internal medicine graduates, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply.
• We provide visa sponsorship for H1B and J1 with in-house visa specialists; required filing fees are paid by Sound.

Responsibilities

• We welcome the challenge of complex cases. There is an open ICU with intensivist coverage.
• Our team responds to all adult code blue and rapid-response events in the hospital.
• We work with internal medicine residents.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 6 physicians and 1 advanced practitioner with the support of a practice coordinator at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.

• We take pride in our active engagement within the hospital, collaborating with leaders, managers, and staff to elevate the quality of patient care. With a footprint in 11 committees, we are consistently the first to volunteer for quality improvement initiatives.

• We meet monthly for team meetings and internal staff meetings.

Scheduling:

• Our Hospitalists follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation. The shifts are 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
