Job description

Beautiful hospital facility in a charming small town; 75 beds, all private rooms. Independent, not-for-profit health system qualifies for Federal Public Student Loan Forgiveness, along with some rural state student loan programs.

Benefits include paid malpractice, excellent benefits, and a flexible schedule with 15 shifts/180 hours per month. Extra shifts are available at $175/hour. Both day and night shifts are needed. During the day, three hospitalists cover an average patient load of 12-15, rotating admissions and following patients from admission to discharge. One hospitalist covers the night shift. There are no APPs to supervise. Specialty support includes Cardiology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Nephrology, with part-time Pulmonology and Hematology/Oncology. The ICU is open with procedures optional. An EICU is coming early 2024 with 24/7 tele-support from Board Certified Critical Care Intensivists, monitoring vital signs, etc.
