• We take pride in our well-established team at Washington Hospital. Currently, we have a team size of 16. Typically, we have 6 daytime rounders, 1 swing physician and 1 nocturnist. We also have the support of a clinical performance nurse dedicated to our team.

Qualifications:

• A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and preferred minimum of 2 years of hospitalist leadership experience.
• An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

• Medical Director schedule includes ten clinical shifts a month in addition to administrative time to focus on leadership responsibilities.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Washington Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28 bed ICU and 23-bed emergency room.
• Closed ICU - the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
• Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment.
• Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians' internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow.
