Hospitalist opening in Minnesota

Located in New Prague, MN

Full Time, Employed

Health System in New Prague, MN is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join our Hospitalist team. Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience.

This physician will provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service. You may expect a busy practice in a physician-led, financially stable organization committed to high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction.

Primary responsibility is for our 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a Transitional Care Unit in New Prague, MN. Opportunity may exist to pick up additional shifts at other system hospitals.

Details:

1. Seven days on, seven days off with other workday patterns considered.
2. 12-hour workdays, with onsite expectations during your shift.
3. Regional team of Hospitalists provide 24/7, 365-day coverage.
4. Back-up assistance in ED for resuscitations/trauma red (expected to use HIM skill set).
5. Nocturnal shifts only, with some opportunity to support day shifts as they become available.
6. 161 shifts required yearly.

Qualifications:

• Must have M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent.
• Must be eligible for Minnesota medical license.
• Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or in final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification.
• Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience.
