Hospitalist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC

UNC Caldwell is the preferred healthcare provider in Caldwell County. Our 137-bed licensed hospital, part of the UNC Health System, is located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains. The Emergency Department handles approximately 30,000 visits annually, and UNC Physician Network offers primary and specialty care across thirteen medical park locations throughout the county.

Position Details:

• Collaborate with a team of experienced physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners
• Emphasize teamwork, work-life balance, and flexibility
• Utilize standardized documentation and extensive resources for efficiency, minimizing unnecessary duties
• Work 12-hour shifts on a 7 on/7 off rotation, from 7 am to 7 pm; no night shifts, as a dedicated nocturnist is available
• Open ICU with onsite Critical Care/Intensivist support; procedures optional, with training available
• Opportunities for professional growth within the UNC Health System
• EMR system: Epic
• In-house specialty backup from Cardiology, Nephrology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Pulmonology, Podiatry, and Urology
