Job description

We are an established medical practice serving Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and the surrounding areas, specializing in evaluations for patients with swallowing disorders. We are currently seeking additional physicians to join our team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and physicians with various levels of experience are encouraged to apply. During training, compensation will be provided.

The practice is part of a network with sister practices in New England and Texas.

Benefits include an annual income of approximately $160,000 to $225,000 or more for a 4-5 day workweek, depending on volume. Additional benefits include health coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, and an educational stipend. There are no weekend or night call responsibilities, and malpractice coverage (including tail) is paid for by the practice. Over 19 years and 400,000 evaluations, we have not had any malpractice inquiries or actions.

Our mission at Midwest Dysphagia Consultants is to provide professional dysphagia consultations, including modified barium swallow studies, for patients with swallowing difficulties. These consultations are delivered via a mobile unit, as shown on our website.

Requests for swallowing studies come from various facilities, private offices, and homebound patients, and are scheduled through our office staff. Approximately 95% of appointments are scheduled within 24 to 72 hours of the request, often on the same day depending on volume and location. We prioritize ensuring our staff is home between 4:00 and 5:00 PM daily.
