Job summary

TeamHealth is partnering with HCA Florida Putnam Hospital in Palatka, Florida, to recruit an experienced NP or PA for our Hospital Medicine program. This full-time role offers a 7-on/7-off block with day shifts, allowing a healthy work-life balance while delivering patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate holds Florida NP/PA licensure (or eligibility), is board-certified, and has hospital medicine or related inpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Current Florida NP or PA license (or eligibility).
• Board certification as an NP or PA.
• Experience in hospital medicine, inpatient, internal medicine, critical care, or emergency medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• conduct comprehensive patient assessments and daily rounds
• evaluate, diagnose, and manage hospitalized adult patients
• develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the EMR
• communicate effectively with patients, families, consultants, and hospital staff
