Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in South Florida is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Hospitalist Extenders program. You will provide hospital care in collaboration with and supervision of hospital medicine physicians, take patient histories, perform examinations, and document findings in the medical record.

Requirements include Florida APRN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and completion of the Nationally Certified Nurse Practitioner Program.

Qualifications

• Florida APRN licensure required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1–2 years of NP hospital medicine/critical care or acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital care within the scope of practice in collaboration with the hospital medicine physician
• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
• Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures and interpret results
• Timely documentation in medical records of patient encounters, findings, and treatment plans
• Develop care plans in collaboration with hospital medicine physician
• Assist Medical Directors, supervisors, and affiliated personnel in quality data collection or analysis
• May serve as proctor for new hires or graduates as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
