Qualifications

• Florida APRN license required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an advanced practitioner within the respective nursing specialty.
• Provides consultation on nursing practice and patient outcomes.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests in collaboration with physicians.
• Assesses admission data and determines appropriate level of care per hospital criteria.
• Advocates for patients and families for resources across the continuum of care.
• Educates patients and families on admission as indicated.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning conferences.
• Guides the team during patient care conferences and rounds.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of diagnostic and nursing care procedures.
• Interviews patients and completes medical history and physical exam within 24 hours of admission.
