Job summary

Phoenix Indian Medical Center is seeking Hospitalist Physicians (MD or DO) for a long-term locum tenens contract. Work 12-hour inpatient shifts in a 130+-bed IHS hospital serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Board-certified or eligible physicians with US licensing are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive acute inpatient medical care during assigned shifts.
• Evaluate, admit, manage, round on, and discharge adult inpatients.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff, emergency providers, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation within EHR.
