NNMC in Shiprock, New Mexico is seeking experienced Hospitalist Physicians (MD or DO) for a long-term Indian Health Service contract. The 60-bed facility serves all ages in a rural setting that mirrors a Critical Access Hospital, with inpatient, 12-hour night shifts and broad clinical responsibilities.

Qualificações

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
• Current DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• 2–3 years inpatient Hospitalist experience
• Nocturnist experience preferred
• Experience with EHR systems
• Must be a U.S. citizen living and working primarily in the United States

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care during 12-hour overnight shifts
• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients across an all-age population
• Perform admissions, inpatient evaluations, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
• Respond to overnight clinical changes and emergencies
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Order, interpret and respond to labs and imaging results
• Coordinate care with nursing, specialists, ED, and hospital team
• Stabilize and transfer patients as needed
• Participate in discharge planning and transitions of care
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in the EHR
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
• Comply with facility policies, regulations, and IHS requirements
