Job summary

77 consultants is seeking a Locum Hospitalist for an on-site, full-time contract in Maine (Lewiston). You will provide inpatient care to hospitalized adults, manage acute and chronic conditions, coordinate discharge planning, and work with nurses, consultants, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.

Schedule: 8a-6p, 7 on/7 off; No call. Requirements include MD/DO, board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, active Maine license or eligibility, DEA, ACLS/BLS, and

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with internal medicine focus and ABMS board eligibility or certification.
• Active/eligible Maine medical license required or to obtain.
• ACLS and BLS certifications; DEA registration in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care to hospitalized adult patients with internal medicine conditions.
• Lead admission H&P, develop evidence-based plans and coordinate discharge.
• Collaborate with nurses, consultants, and inter-disciplinary teams.
• Document encounters accurately in Epic and ensure timely care transitions.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain quality, compliant patient care.
