It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36**Work Shift: 7pm - 7am** \\*\\*Must have 2+years of experience in an acute care setting on a med-surg unit.\\*\\* **Summary of the Job:** Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians and Unit Assistants. **Minimum Qualifications:**Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program; Current Louisiana LPN Licensure and current BLS required. BLS certification must be through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Intravenous (IV) Therapy certification required. Additional certification requirements vary by department. Ability to meet weekend and holiday requirements. **Physical Demands:** Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
