Job summary

US Acute Care Solutions seeks an Experienced Hospitalist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our hospitalist service in a physician-owned acute care group. You will work side by side with physicians as a clinical colleague to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Shifts are 12 hours (7 am–7 pm or 7 pm–7 am), with 7 on/7 off patterns and access to nationwide support, ongoing education, and robust benefits including CME, parental leave, and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience as Hospitalist PA or NP.
• Ability to work as part of a clinical team alongside physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist care as an experienced PA/NP.
• Collaborate with physicians and APP leadership to deliver quality patient care.

Hospital Details

San Antonio's Northeast Baptist Hospital is an award-winning facility conveniently located along I-410 near San Antonio International Airport. The hospital offers extraordinary Cardiovascular programs, advanced surgery options, and a variety of specialty centers. Emergent PCI and OB services are available onsite, as well as a geriatric Psychiatric facility. Excellent specialty coverage (Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Hand, etc.) is available across the five hospitals in San Antonio's Baptist Health System. Enjoy a simple "one call" system for admissions and transfers. NPs and PAs practice independently in the ED, meaning Physicians have no APP charts to sign.

Hospitalist Service

• Daily Encounters: 90

• Staffing Model:
  • 60 hours of Physician coverage
  • 48 hours of APP coverage
• EMR: Cerner
• 10 Physician/8 APP provider Hospitalist team
• Dedicated Physician Nocturnist with Telemedicine APP support for cross-cover
