Job summary

St. Anthony Summit Hospital seeks a Mechanic Engineer to operate and maintain stationary engines and mechanical equipment, ensuring uninterrupted utilities for the hospital. You will perform routine maintenance, supervise staff, and uphold safety and service standards for patients, visitors, and employees.

You will manage boiler and central plant equipment, read blueprints, and address unsafe practices while mentoring peers. Strong independent work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems.
• Knowledge with medical gas systems and backup systems.
• Familiar with Building Automation Systems and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain stationary engines and mechanical equipment to support hospital utilities.
• Perform general maintenance including electrical, plumbing, and safety testing.
• Mentor/coach less experienced facilities staff while delivering patient- and staff-facing service.
• Read blueprints for installation or repair of equipment.
