Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston is seeking a Unit Support Assistant - Housekeeping to perform routine cleaning, respond to spill cleanup, transport patients safely, and support infection control procedures in a fast-paced unit.

You will work with hospital staff to maintain a clean and safe environment; a high school diploma and at least one year in environmental services are required; prior hospital housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in environmental services in healthcare, hospitality, or contract cleaning.
• High school diploma or equivalent; substitution for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in assigned areas daily according to SOPs and infection control procedures.
• Demonstrates ownership for responsibilities in assigned zone and other designated areas.
• Demonstrates accountability for customer service and professional behavior.
• Safely transports patients to and from designated areas and handles unit specimens as needed.
