Job summary

University Health KC at Truman Medical Center Telemetry 4 Green is seeking a Unit Coordinator to support administrative operations during a 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM shift. You will coordinate requests, assist staff, patients and visitors, and help maintain a well-organized work environment.

As a key support to the Department Director and Clinical Team Manager, you will maintain spreadsheets, logs and generate reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English for clear communication.
• Experience as a unit clerk or in a medical support role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate requests and support staff, patients and visitors to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Assist department leadership and clinical teams in day-to-day operations.
• Maintain organized records, ledgers and logs for tracking and reporting.
• Prepare data into reports and summaries to aid decision making.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of administrative tasks and communications.
