Job summary

Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville (Florida) seeks a Unit Clerk to perform clerical and receptionist duties and support the nursing station. You will answer phones, transcribe orders, maintain charts, check schedules, admit patients when needed, and assist staff as required.

A CNA license is required; high school diploma or GED is essential. Orientation and training are provided, with a full-time schedule and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license required.
• Experience in hospital administrative support or similar setting preferred.
• Strong phone and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Willing to attend orientation/training Mon-Fri 8:00am–5:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Receives hospital guests, ascertains needs, and directs guests appropriately.
• Answers phones, takes messages, and relays physician orders.
• Checks appointment schedules and escorts guests to the appropriate office.
• Completes special projects by deadlines and admits patients as needed.
• Monitors lobby area and supports other staff in their absence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
