The Opportunity:

Crittenton Children's Center is the Kansas City area's premier provider of psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and their families. Located on a scenic 96-acre campus in south Kansas City (near Longview Lake), it offers serenity, beauty, and privacy to support the healing process.

Shift: PRN - Monday to Friday daytime, onsite with no remote work option. The schedule varies, but a minimum of 4 shifts per month is required.

For over 120 years, we've cared for the emotional health of Kansas City's children and families. Today, we provide one of the area's most comprehensive behavioral health programs, backed by Saint Luke's Health System.

We are seeking a PRN Hospital Therapist whose primary responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the Intake Director in planning, coordinating, and evaluating daily activities of the Intake Department, including triage of emergency and non-emergency calls, verifying funding eligibility and benefits, and conducting intake assessments.
2. Conducting clinical interviews and recommending appropriate levels of care for patients and families based on treatment needs.
3. Serving as the therapist for patients and families under the supervision of the psychiatrist, acting as the clinical team leader, and supporting Utilization Management functions.
4. Providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as case management services.
5. Recommending and implementing therapeutic interventions for individual clients and overall program development.
6. Developing communication systems to effectively triage workloads daily.

Job Requirements

Relevant experience: Less than 1 year with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health.
