The role requires five years of telecom experience, a high school diploma, and strong knowledge of electronics, blueprints, and telecom software.

Qualifications

• Must have practical knowledge of electronics and electricity.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must have expert knowledge of digital telecommunications systems.
• Must demonstrate knowledge to operate installation, testing and calibration equipment.
• Must use word processing and telecom data management software.
• Must communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, review and schedule complex telecom work requests.
• Install, modify, repair and maintain voice and data telecom systems and hardware.
• Move and install telephones, jacks, terminals and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot systems and hardware, diagnose problems and replace wiring or equipment.
• Serve as liaison for Parkland staff, vendors and other orgs; maintain relationships.
