Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Security Monitor in Bethel, AK. You will gather camera reports, monitor live/recorded footage, and report suspicious activity to leadership. The role includes operating surveillance gear, handling alarms, and acting as dispatch during hospital code events.

Strong communication and computer skills are required. Experience is not required, but a high level of customer service and English (Yupik preferred) are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• No experience and/or prior security monitor experience recommended.
• High level of customer service and a positive approach.
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of computer systems.
• Yupik/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and compile Avigilon camera reports and evidence.
• Monitor camera images continuously to assist with prevention and detection of crime and to support investigations.
• Report incidents or suspicious behavior to the Team Leader and/or authorities.
• Monitor movements of vehicles, patients, staff and visitors.
• Operate surveillance equipment and maintain logs and reports.
• Answer security calls and transfer as needed; act as dispatch during codes.
• Assist Emergency Management Coordinator with notifications to authorities and leadership.
• Facilitate communications within the security department.
