Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Security Officer in Bethel, AK for full-time, 40 hours per week. The role protects lives and property, patrols facilities, and coordinates with law enforcement and fire departments as needed.

Responsibilities include monitoring surveillance, doors, and alarms, recording daily events, and responding to emergencies. Alaska driver’s license and CPR certification (or within 90 days) are required or obtainable on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Alaska driver’s license or ability to obtain upon hire; CPR certification within 90 days.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours; good English communication.
• Willingness to train with Security Officers.

Responsibilities

• Protects life and property of all persons on YKHC premises.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism.
• Responds to security needs of personnel; works with law enforcement and fire department.
• Uses surveillance equipment, access control points, and alarms.
• Writes activity logs and reports; records daily events and incidents.
• Manages the YKHC wheelchairs and provides security for visitors.
