Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, is seeking a Supply Technician for the Materials Management department on the 2nd shift. The role covers supply distribution, replenishment, receiving, delivery, mail services, and warehouse inventory within the hospital.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (or completion of the UMMC Project Search program). Five years of related work experience can substitute for education, with preference for hospital supply experience

Stocking, inventory handling in a hospital setting preferred.
Knowledge of shipping, receiving, stocking, and inventory management methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

Audits and manages replenishment system; resolves issues.
Operates replenishment software and programs per policy.
Sets up area equipment and tools (scales, controllers, downloaders, probes, shelf registration, carts, computers).
Monitors and reports expired or misrotated stock; ensures stock storage compliance.
Stocks and controls inventory; delivers and verifies incoming shipments.
Orders supplies per departmental policies.
Opens, picks, closes, and distributes internal orders.
Adheres to hospital standards per OSHA, TJC, and policies.
Creates daily system tracking reports for changes.
Fleet scheduling and responsibilities.
