Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Distribution Attendant to perform a full range of warehouse duties, including loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, and stocking of supplies and equipment. The role involves using handheld devices and inventory systems to assemble orders for Nursing Units and the par program.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, conducting cycle counts, and delivering items across the Medical Center.

Qualifications

• High School or General Equivalency Diploma required.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Experience with computerized inventory management and warehousing systems such as barcode and handheld scanning devices.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and execute work with attention to detail.
• Strong accuracy in record-keeping and professional interactions with staff and customers.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, load and unload pallets and place into racks.
• Restock supply carts and maintain inventory records.
• Assemble supplies/equipment into boxes for Nursing Units and par program.
• Deliver supplies to patient care areas and obtain necessary signatures.
• Ensure documents for shipments are complete and accurate.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklift and other handling equipment safely.
• Maintain mail processing and postage equipment; handle routine mail duties.
