Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY is seeking a Distribution Attendant to manage a full range of order fulfillment, receiving, and warehouse functions, including loading, unloading, packing, and distributing supplies and equipment throughout the Medical Center.

You will verify counts against bills of lading, utilize inventory control systems and handheld scanners, perform cycle counts, and maintain accurate records while operating pallet jacks and forklift trucks as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and effective communication skills.
• Experience with computerized inventory and handheld scanning devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives, loads, unloads pallets and places them into racks using hand or power equipment.
• Maintains inventory by restocking carts and keeping accurate records.
• Delivers supplies to patient care areas and obtains necessary signatures.
• Performs cycle counts and uses inventory system/handheld devices for records.
• Operates pallet jacks, forklifts, and keeps work area clean and organized.
• Handles mail and postage tasks as part of duties.
