Alameda Health System is seeking a part-time SLH Materials Handler for the San Leandro campus. The role supports central service, supply chain, and mail operations across the hospital environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, receiving, and distributing supplies, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing mail, and operating warehousing equipment as needed, with a focus on efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Three years of health care environment experience desired.
• Current California driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Issues and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment to patient-care units.
• Stock storerooms with predetermined inventory levels and rotate supplies.
• Receive, identify, store, rotate, and issue supplies and equipment.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of storeroom and warehouse.
• Process mail and deliver to on-campus offices and departments.
• Operate pneumatic tubes, dollies, carts, and forklifts (when trained).
• Assist with inventory counts and data entry into inventory systems.
• Communicate with Purchasing and carrier on issues and claims.
