Job summary

Independence Health System seeks an Inventory/Storeroom Associate to support hospital logistics. Under supervision, you will assist in acquiring, storing, controlling, and delivering medical supplies across the hospital, maintaining adequate inventory, and ensuring timely stock replenishment.

You will conduct receiving operations, verify shipments, record discrepancies, and use handheld devices and inventory software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education.
• Experience in inventory management systems and handheld computers.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment.
• Able to drive a delivery truck with a hydraulic rear lift assembly, knowledge of and experience in operating a forklift and electric pallet jack in a confined area or trained within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic Math and Keyboard Proficiency.
• Knowledge of basic Office Equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
• Basic working knowledge of computers and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory levels through ordering, put away, and dispensing of supplies.
• Keeps stored items organized in proper locations and ensures clean, safe, and secured environment.
• Delivers products using delivery vehicle to offsite locations and completes delivery operations safely.
• Rotates stock and performs cycle counts; works with supervisor to handle shortages and damaged material.
• Maintains and checks the delivery vehicle and storeroom equipment; communicates servicing needs.
• Coordinates with vendors, truckers, and customers to ensure complete and accurate deliveries.
• Counts par stock floors, replenishes orders, and reports scan issues to supervisor.
• Adheres to Lean principles and Equal Opportunity employment policies.
