Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospital System is seeking a Storekeeper Leadman to manage requisitions and deliver equipment across the hospital. You will store and rotate stock in patient care supply rooms and may supervise subordinates, performing other storeroom duties.

Responsibilities include inventory control, processing receiving reports, and coordinating deliveries to departments. The role requires lifting, operating hand trucks, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required; provide proof at interview.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Inventories stock supplies in the storeroom or warehouse and prepares inventory reports.
• Inventories stock on assigned wards that are on the par-stock system to determine supply needs.
• Receives all goods delivered by common carrier and unpacks items to be received by stores.
• Counts, weighs, or measures the quantity of incoming supplies and notes discrepancies.
• Delivers items using hand trucks and returns unwanted goods to vendors.
• Keeps storeroom supervisor informed of needed supplies and maintains inventory control.
• Posts received goods and prepares receiving reports and stock requisitions.
• Produces spot checks of perpetual inventory and participates in annual counts.
• Takes items from stock to fill requisitions and delivers to departments.
• Schedules deliveries to departments and nursing stations.
• Keeps the dock area clean and orderly; tags capital equipment as received.
• Performs office services as needed by supervisor.
