UCLA Medical Center seeks a Steam Operating Engineer to perform the full range of journey-level HVAC and steam system duties across RRUMC and affiliated facilities. You will inspect, service, repair, and install major equipment including chillers, boilers, pumps, and controls, ensuring safe, efficient operation and compliance with codes.

Under supervision, you will prepare reports, maintain maintenance records, issue trouble tickets, and communicate with staff and management.

Qualifications

• HVAC and steam systems maintenance experience.
• Ability to read project specifications and blueprints.
• Experience with preventive maintenance on distribution systems.
• Familiarity with ADA and Fire/Life Safety codes.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, service, and repair HVAC and steam equipment.
• Submit trouble tickets and maintain maintenance records.
• Prepare written reports for preventive maintenance and Joint Commission.
• Communicate with staff and supervisors on on-site issues.
• Adhere to safety and clean-up on job sites.
