Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Pastoral Care Professional to join the team, providing spiritual support as part of the patient care process. This role works within a Catholic healthcare setting and collaborates closely with care teams to address emotional and spiritual needs.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and completed CPE units, with Master’s preferred; on-call shifts nights and weekends may be required, and proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed or to be completed within one year of hire.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software and strong interpersonal skills.
• Solid church standing via ecclesiastical endorsement and Catholic diocese requirements.
• Ability to work with patients, families, clergy and staff across faiths; on-call shifts nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral and spiritual support to patients, families and care teams.
• Integrate with patient care teams to address emotional and spiritual needs.
• Support and collaborate with clergy, staff and volunteers in care programs.
• Adapt to flexible hours and participate in on-call coverage as needed.
