Job summary

MultiCare Capital Medical Center in Olympia, WA seeks a dedicated hospital social worker (MSW) to support patients and families facing medical challenges. You will assess needs, coordinate community resources, and document plans.

The role requires a Master's in Social Work, licensure as required (LSWAIC/LICSW etc.), and hospital experience; 0.75 FTE with day shifts (3 x 10-hour shifts Sun–Tue) in an on-site setting, with generous PTO and supportive programs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work is required.
• LSWAIC, LMHC, LMFT, LASW, LICSW as required by department.
• Experience in hospital/acute setting or equivalent social work environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer assessment tools and gather data for assessment and to assess for services.
• Interview families to determine social work needs of the participant.
• Coordinate services by contacting community resources.
• Provide initial and ongoing assessment of participant's social, emotional and cognitive status and needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for assessments, treatment plans, and evaluations.
