Job summary

WM Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Hospital Services Worker to travel between customer healthcare facilities, performing proactive waste container collection and exchanges for programs such as Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, and Document Management.

The role requires on-site presence, adherence to immunization requirements, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates should have 2 years of customer service experience or an equivalent background.

Qualifications

• On-site presence at WMHS customer locations and immunization requirements according to customer policies.
• 2 years industry-related experience in a customer service capacity preferred or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.

I. Job Summary

Under management direction, a Hospital Services Worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on‑site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various WM Healthcare Solutions (WMHS) programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various WMHS programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance and Document Management.
• Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.
• Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

• This position requires on‑site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers, and
• 2 years industry related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings and situations or preferred education requirement
• Valid Driver's License

B. Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited)

Field: This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.

Wednesday: Piedmont Columbus Northside and Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital, Piedmont Columbus Midtown (Pharmaceutical Service)

Thursday: Piedmont Columbus Midtown

Friday: EOW (Russell Medical and Russell Cancer Center)
