Job summary

WM Healthcare Solutions seeks a Hospital Services Worker in Baytown, TX. The role travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively collect and exchange waste containers for WMHS programs, following a regular schedule.

The position is an early day shift, Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, with competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k) matching. On-site presence and immunization compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be on-site at WMHS customer locations and comply with immunization requirements.
• 2 years industry related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.

I. Job Summary

Under management direction, a Hospital Services Worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various WM Healthcare Solutions (WMHS) programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.

II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various WMHS programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance and Document Management.
• Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.
• Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

III. Qualifications

• Required Qualifications
• This position requires on-site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers, and
• 2 years industry related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings and situations or preferred education requirement

Field: This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.

This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. As part of the ongoing employment requirements, the successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—including pre‑employment screening, post‑incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Shift Days: Monday thru Friday

Shift Time: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm - working an 8 hr shift w/ 30 min lunch

• Wednesday: Houston Methodist Surgery Center & Houston Methodist Baytown
• Thursday: HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland & Shriners Children's Texas
• Friday: Houston Methodist Baytown
