Rochester Regional Health's Newark-Wayne Community Hospital is seeking a Safety and Security Officer Trainee to support security operations under supervision. You will learn patrols, access control, incident reporting, and emergency response while maintaining a strong focus on patient and visitor safety.

This full-time, day-shift role with weekend requirements is based at 1200 Driving Park Avenue, Newark, NY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NYS Security Guard License within 90 days of hire.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Training & Development: Complete required security training and shadowing to learn hospital policies and emergency protocols.
• Security Operations (Under Supervision): Assist patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident response and drills.
• Safety & Risk Awareness: Identify hazards, assist in fire safety checks, support patient and visitor safety.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare clear incident and activity reports while learning documentation practices.
• Professional Conduct & Teamwork: Uphold hospital values and work under guidance to become independent.
