Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with eligible access to required certifications.
• AVADE training within three months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security and life safety issues as needed.
• Tours buildings and grounds, minimum 4 rounds per shift, ensuring door/window integrity.
• Confronts unauthorized persons, detains or notifies police as appropriate.
• Utilizes emergency equipment and records safety violations and equipment failures.
• Checks for unauthorized weapons, confiscates contraband, and notifies police when appropriate.
• Maintains daily shift reports and all incident/injury/fall reports.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
