Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) is seeking a Security Officer I to maintain safety for patients, visitors, and employees. You will patrol on foot and by car, respond to emergencies, enforce hospital rules, and support operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine patrols on foot or by car; enforces hospital rules and reports issues.
• Directs firefighting activities; inspects buildings for hazards; participates in drills.
• Directs traffic on hospital property and assists patients and staff with vehicle problems.
• Provides routine escort and emergent delivery services to campus facilities.
• Trains in fire safety and uses security equipment; reports incidents and prepares detailed reports.
• Responds to emergencies and security-related requests; coordinates with local authorities.
