Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in Pennsylvania seeks a Security Officer I to protect patients, visitors and staff. You will perform foot and vehicle patrols, enforce hospital rules, respond to emergencies, alarms and safety hazards, and assist in locating people or assets as needed.

You will work full time with day/evening rotation. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; one year of related experience is preferred. Comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience required; security/military/police background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by car and enforce hospital rules.
• Direct firefighting activities and inspect buildings for fire and safety hazards.
• Direct traffic on hospital property and assist patients, visitors, and employees with vehicle issues.
• Provide escort and emergent delivery services to campus facilities and participate in orientation of new staff.
