Job summary

Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle, ME is seeking a Security Officer for a full‑time evening shift. You will patrol, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors across the facility.

Responsibilities include access control, incident reporting, de‑escalation, and coordination with the security team and clinical staff. A Maine driver license is required and experience in healthcare security is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license to drive in Maine is required.
• Healthcare security, corporate security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Experience with Omnigo, Avigilon video surveillance and access control, and C-Cure is desirable.
• Must maintain professionalism and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facilities and grounds to protect people and property.
• Monitor access control, alarms, cameras, radios, and intercoms.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies promptly.
• Prepare detailed notes, conduct investigations, and write incident reports.
• Assist with events, de-escalation, and coordinating with clinical staff.
