Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Security Officer to perform security services, monitor surveillance, and respond to incidents to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The role operates on a Night shift, is Full Time, and focuses on policy enforcement and coordinating with the Environment of Care committee. Driving duties may be required to support hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred
• State Driver’s license upon hire
• Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs security services, including electronic surveillance and rounds.
• Coordinates facility response to potential problems for patients, employees and visitors.
• Enforces policy and procedure and ensures safe workplace and environment of care.
• Works with the Environment of Care committee for a multidisciplinary approach.
• Participates in employee awareness and education.
• Driving as needed for company business.
