Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, staff and visitors. The role requires patrolling hospital property, responding to security alerts and enforcing policies while maintaining a professional, helpful attitude.

Responsibilities include monitoring violent behavior, documenting incidents, participating in fire and disaster response teams, and ensuring safety through proper procedures and decontamination practices as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in security or customer service preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital property to ensure safety for patients, visitors and staff.
• Monitor and manage patients who exhibit violent behavior.
• Investigate security incidents and document findings on reports.
• Maintain a daily activity log and incident documentation.
• Lock and unlock hospital buildings across the campus.
• Be part of fire and disaster response teams.
• Enforce hospital parking policy consistently.
• Maintain a caring, professional attitude with customers.
• Respond to agitation/violence with de-escalation and restraint when needed.
• Follow safety procedures for hazardous decontamination and waste disposal.
