Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a security professional to safeguard patients, guests, and employees across hospital properties. You will enforce safety rules, conduct inspections, and respond to emergencies while maintaining compliance with privacy and conduct standards.

Required is a high school diploma and 1 year of security or related experience; CPI and firearms training are preferred with the IAHSS certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of practice with a clean DMV record.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) and firearms training are required or to be completed.
• IAHSS Certification should be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire.
• Employment contingent on successful completion of the FTO Program within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Enforces safety and security rules and policies on company property.
• Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations.
• Investigates accidents and reports incidents promptly.
• Performs opening/lockdown of buildings as approved by Administration.
• Participates in emergency response and drills.
• Maintains annual certifications and training within required timeframes.
• Interacts respectfully with diverse patient populations and maintains privacy.
• Reads, writes, and speaks English; traverses the company property as needed.
