Job summary

Children's Health is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, families and staff in a hospital environment in Dallas, TX. The role involves enforcing policies, patrolling facilities, and responding to crises as part of SSPV programs. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications include at least 1 year of related experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications. The position is on-site with day shifts and weekend options.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of related experience (customer service, healthcare, hospitality, security, law enforcement or military).
• Prefer at least 2 years in security, law enforcement, military, healthcare, or education.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or related field.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents of workplace violence, fires, medical emergencies and other crises promptly and calmly.
• Conduct weapons screening to prevent entry of weapons to the facility.
• Provide de-escalation during crisis management and serve as SSPV responder.
• Patrol assigned facility and property to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare detailed written incident reports for legal/regulatory use.
