Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Security Officer for Kindred Hospital Paramount and Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Paramount, CA. The role involves patrolling hospital premises, inspecting access points, and documenting safety observations to protect lives and property.

You will respond to emergencies, enforce access controls, and assist visitors and staff in daily operations. The position emphasizes vigilance, timely reporting, and cooperation with the Fire Brigade Team to maintain a safe hospital

Qualifications

• Must read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
• Good and regular attendance required
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to prevent loss through fire, theft, vandalism and other means
• Inspect doors, windows and locks to determine serviceability
• Report safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections
• Investigate incidents and document investigation steps and results
• Assist with traffic control by keeping fire lanes, hydrants, and ambulance entrances clear
• Escort visitors, patients and employees to and from parking areas
• Maintain accurate log of all activity on tour of duty
• Respond to emergency calls and Code Red alerts
