Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED at hire.
• Six months experience as security officer in healthcare, law enforcement or military.
• One year experience as a Security Officer.
• Security Guard license: CA at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days.
• Driver's license: CA within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance promptly and prudently.
• Know emergency procedures, equipment, and radios for rapid response.
• Report HIPAA breaches; investigate security incidents and write incident reports.
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching officers to correct locations.
• Keep the organization’s mission, vision and values in decision making.
• Demonstrate professional security expertise and credible interactions.
