Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant security experience.
• Minimum two approved functional specialties (e.g., instructor, FTO).
• Must possess a current non-restricted Indiana Driver's License.
• Must pass pre-employment background investigation, drug screening and psychological exam.
• Must have working knowledge of computers and software programs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts rounding and foot and vehicle patrols around IU Health properties.
• Responds to calls for service and enforces IU Health rules and policies.
• Provides direction to team members, guests and patients and de-escalates tense situations.
• Investigates criminal activity and vehicle crashes as needed and maintains records.
• Performs security screenings to create a safe healthcare environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the chain of command.
