Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; may need GED within six months of hire.
• Associates degree or college coursework preferred.
• Prior security experience and/or training preferred.
• Health care security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hospital patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain visibility at assigned location(s) and assist requests.
• Provide physical assistance to staff as needed.
• Monitor traffic in parking areas and assist with permits/violations.
• Protect people and property and prevent accidents and vandalism.
• Perform routine building rounds and door unlocks.
• Report incidents and suspicious activity as required.
• Document activities and incidents clearly and accurately.
• Respond to emergencies such as fires, threats, or accidents.
• Watch video monitors and escalate hazards to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively via radio and coordinate with security team.
