Job summary

Allied Universal offers an Unarmed Security Officer position at a hospital location in Englewood, CO. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security experience preferred, but not required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Healthcare/Hospital experience preferred, but not required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must have a verifiable high school diploma or GED, as well as 3 years of verifiable work history (recent).
• Must be comfortable with transporting deceased patients to the morgue, restraining combative patients, and receiving vaccines.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines).
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions; monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
